AIDS is rapidly gaining ground in Southeast Asia and will ultimately surpass the continent of Africa in the number of people contracting HIV.  The figures are devastating.  Asia holds half the world's population, and many countries are still in the dark about how HIV is contracted.
The photographs on this page are from a larger book project Stanmeyer has been working on for over three years in over ten countries throughout Asia.
