St. Pope Pius X - known as the Pope of Peace because he did everything in his power to prevent the outbreak of World War I in Europe.  He died a few days after the war broke out.
He is also known as the Pope of the Eucharist because he permitted children to receive Holy Communion upon reaching the age of reason - usually around seven.
He was canonized a saint in 1956.*
